Redefinition and management of IEDM, the European Institute of Dietetics and Micronutrition

IEDM, the benchmark in micronutrition training for healthcare professionals

Due to the entry into force of a new legal and regulatory framework, this micronutrition training institute, created by healthcare professionals for healthcare professionals, found itself deprived of its main funder in December 2020. The entire team left the institute.

The challenge: in two months, to take over the institute so that it can continue to operate and demonstrate that it is possible to ensure its long-term future in this new regulatory environment.

In December 1997, when the institute was created, it was the only one to offer micronutrition training courses for healthcare professionals. This is no longer the case in 2020. Competition is there.

Chances Conseil’s proposal

Refocus the institute on its innovative character, offering training based on the latest scientific publications.
With the help of its Chairman, Dr Didier Chos, the Institute’s strategy for relaunching business was to get back to basics: to offer and promote, via a weekly newsletter, training courses based on scientific knowledge published in peer-reviewed journals.

At the same time, Chances Conseil worked to obtain Qualiopi certification and, in conjunction with the Chairman, to develop partnerships with universities.

Today, the IEDM continues to operate.
